Our Mission

 The Bay Land Trust is a non-profit land trust dedicated to preserving the health of the water resources and habitat of the Annapolis Neck peninsula. Founded in 1989, the Trust is working to protect the environmental well-being of the many creek watersheds that feed the Chesapeake Bay and sustain a diversity of wildlife.

       Our Goal

 -         Encourage and support landowners in the protection of their undeveloped property with conservation easements

-         Provide an alternative to the financial attractions of development

-         Provide technical advice for communities and landowners on tax benefit options available for land preservation

-         Lend expertise and innovation in the intricacies of funding land conservation efforts

-         Hold and monitor conservation easements to ensure the permanent well-being of protected lands

-         Provide information to residents of the Annapolis Neck about the implications of development and the possibilities for preservation

-         Support the County efforts to protect a Greenway on the Annapolis Neck
